Fall Mini Sessions in Haymarket, Virginia
I thought last year’s fall mini sessions in Loudoun County, VA would be my most challenging mini session to date because of the ongoing event that day that led to increased foot traffic. I was wrong! Last year’s fall mini sessions in Haymarket, Virginia was even more challenging because of the weather. On the days leading up to the mini session, the forecast said that it will rain in the morning; but not in the afternoon. Because of everyone’s schedule, we’ve decided that it was best to move forward with the scheduled mini sessions.
Fast forward to the afternoon of the fall minis, we got rained out. I was able to photograph a few families before we officially cancelled the rest of the minis that day. The families were super understanding and were such a sport doing their photos while it was drizzling. I am so glad with how the photos had turned out that day despite the rain. You won’t even know it was drizzling while I was taking their photos.
The rest of the families who weren’t able to get their photos taken because of the rain got rescheduled to the following weekend. Although it was cloudy and chilly during the rescheduled fall minis in Haymarket, VA, it didn’t rain. And for that, we were so grateful. Haha! We lost out on the peak foliage; but luckily, we still got some fall colors through the leaves on the grass and some of the trees.
I am so grateful for everyone who braved the weather, the rain on the original mini session day and the chilly day on the rescheduled minis day. These mini sessions, just like the other fall minis I had last year, had a mix of new and repeat clients. You will definitely see some familiar faces – one from a senior session, and another one from a cake smash session. One family even drove from another state, and I just appreciate that truly. The trust and support that my amazing clients have been giving me is something that are something that I do not take lightly.
I had the best time during these fall minis! And I cannot wait until I do my first mini sessions of the year!
