WOODBRIDGE, VIRGINIA FALL MATERNITY & FAMILY SESSION BY A WASHINGTON, DC FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHER
How fall perfect was this family & maternity session I did last week at Lake Ridge Park Marina in Woodbridge, Virginia? From the outfit color choices that this beautiful family wore to the fall colors & fall leaves at the marina, I just love everything about this session.
We started our family session at the parking lot of this marina in Woodbridge, Virginia. We did a lot of walking & running shots, as well as playing with the fall leaves. Because why wouldn’t I ask them to do those? Playing with fall leaves is a fun family activity. It’s the perfect way to create memories as a family.
We then moved to the marina for K’s, the mom, maternity session; while C, the toddler, was playing with his grandparents. The setting was absolutely beautiful during our maternity session – the light, the background, everything! K just stands out in her burgundy dress, doesn’t she?
One of the reasons why I love family sessions is because I love to watch how each family members interact with each other. The closeness they have & the love they have for each other just naturally shines. This family session isn’t any different – the fun that they have even when they’re doing the simplest things with C, their excitement for the arrival of the newest part of their family, and C stopping to play just so he can kiss K’s belly where the baby is. These simple things just melt my heart!
K & J – Thank you for letting me capture special moments in this very exciting time of your lives. It was an honor witnessing the love that you have for each other. I really had a great time during our family & maternity session. I am very excited for you guys to meet your little bundle of joy! I hope everything goes smoothly during the delivery! 🙂
