Northern VA Studio Christmas Minis

Studio Christmas Minis in Northern VA
Two years ago, I set out on a beautiful adventure to do an outdoor Christmas mini sessions. It was a very memorable experience and I loved every minute of it! To keep things fresh, I decided to host my very first studio Christmas minis in Northern VA this year.
Even though I love extravagant Christmas decorations, I chose to keep the studio setup minimalistic because my goal was to ensure that my clients will stand out and be the focus of the photos and not be overshadowed by excessive decors.
The studio Christmas mini session brought together a mix of new and familiar faces. Despite the rain during our mini session in Northern VA, I was glad that the indoor setting provided a safe and warm place to everyone, eliminating the worry of rescheduling the session.
I had a really great time capturing the smiles of all the families! The vintage wooden horse in the studio became a hit among the children! One little girl in particular fed the rocking horse and even gave her a name. From now on, my vintage wooden rocking horse will be called “Pickles”. Special thanks to E for giving her an adorable name.
While I made sure to do the traditional smiling-at-the camera shots for everyone’s holiday cards, I also took the opportunity to squeeze in some playful photos in between. I love taking traditional photos for my clients but capturing these fun, spontaneous moments are what truly fuels my soul!
All in all, it was a great and special day. Thank you everyone for making this studio indoor mini session a day to remember! I cant wait for the Christmas season!
