Christmas is surely my favorite holiday. Growing up in the Philippines, where our Christmas decorations are up & Christmas songs are played as soon as the first day of September hits, I always look forward to this special time of year. The family traditions, the chilly weather, the festive decorations & music, shopping gifts for your loved ones, the fun holiday activities… there’s something about Christmas that just makes me so much happier!

Gratefulness is one of the values that is very important to me. Even in my family, I try to instill gratefulness in my kids in every way I can. It was a beautiful sunny Sunday morning in August when I met these fun family at Locust Shade Park in Triangle, Virginia. Originally, our family session was scheduled on June 9th. But because of rain, we had to reschedule.

This cake smash session didn’t work out as we had planned; still the details & the celebrant are simple yet so adorable.
