Outdoor Newborn Pictures in Ashburn, VA

I had the absolute joy of capturing a special outdoor newborn photography session for a family I’ve had the pleasure of photographing for over two years. We’ve celebrated so many milestones together, from cake smashes to mini sessions, and watching their family grow has been such a privilege. This session was especially meaningful as we embraced the beauty of nature to celebrate their newest addition, Baby H.

With it being my first outdoor newborn photography session, I was excited to try something new. While I’ve always loved the soft, consistent light in my indoor sessions, there’s something undeniably magical about the sun shining outdoors that made me fall in love with outdoor newborn sessions. I hope more families will request this in the future. Haha! The sun kept coming and going, which presented its own set of challenges, especially with a newborn, but we embraced it and made it work.

The family’s beloved dog, GW, joined in the session, and we recreated a cherished photo of him with, F, the big sister, from when she was a newborn. Grandma also shared in the joy, stepping into a few frames for some sweet, multigenerational moments. F did amazing, showing so much love and excitement for her new sibling. It was a heartwarming experience to capture these connections and memories, knowing that these images that will be treasured for years to come.
