Last month, I hosted a full day of branding mini sessions in Manassas, VA; and it might be one of my favorite ways to spend a workday.
Three incredible business owners showed up ready to create content that felt like them; one of them even booked two back-to-back spots to get the most out of the experience. And here’s something that made the day even more special: two of these business owners are photographers themselves.
Being trusted to capture branding photos for fellow photographers—people with especially trained, discerning eyes—is such an honor. But whether you’re a photographer, a coach, or a product-based business, the trust you place in me to represent your brand is something I never take lightly.
With multiple styled rooms, gorgeous natural light, and thoughtful details in every corner, it gave us endless variety without the stress of changing locations. Each space brought a different vibe: cozy, clean, modern, inviting… and helped each brand’s personality shine through.
Every client came in with props that told a story: from tools of the trade to personal touches. No two sessions looked alike, and that’s exactly how it should be.
And the vibe? Relaxed, collaborative, fun. Everyone came in a little nervous since it was the first time they’re doing branding photos which is very normal and left feeling excited to share their content online… confident in how they’re showing up.

“It was such a pleasure working with Belle for my branding photos! From the start, she made the experience feel so personal and thoughtful. I loved how she took the time to really get to know me and my business through a detailed (and fun!) questionnaire. She then created a personalized style board that clearly outlined what to expect, which made me feel so confident going into the shoot. From a Type A mindset, I especially appreciated seeing the inspiration photos and room layouts in advance — it helped me feel organized and prepared.” – Ashley
Why Branding Minis Work
These sessions aren’t just “a few cute photos.” They’re a shortcut to strategic content creation which is perfect for:
- A website refresh
- Social media consistency
- Showing your face more (without the stress)
- Highlighting your products, process, or personality
And yes; we do still capture classic headshots. But the focus is you: as the face, voice, and heart behind your business.
