I don’t know if you know this about me, but Christmas is my favorite holiday. The season just brings me so much joy. It’s probably all the traditions and fun activities that I get to do with my family during this time of the year that make me look forward to it all year long. So it’s only natural that I host Christmas mini sessions in Northern Virginia every fall for as long as I can remember.
What are Christmas mini sessions?
Christmas minis are a type of themed mini sessions that TuBelle Photography offers every fall. The entire set is carefully thought out to ensure that it remains timeless by using minimal festive Christmas decorations. These minis are designed to help families who live in Northern VA have beautiful photos for their annual Christmas cards.
What type of setups do you offer?
We offer one studio session and one outdoor session every year for our Christmas minis. All setups are very minimal to ensure that the props aren’t too overpowering and to keep the timeless style that you all have known TBP for.
Will we have photos with Santa Claus?
Depending on the setup, Santa Claus may join you & your family for some photos. He will not be in all the photos, unless a family requests for it.
Is this for the whole family?
All of our Christmas minis are designed with the whole family in mind. We have some families who opt for kid-only photos for their session; but most of our clients tend to have their whole immediate family join during the mini session. We also do different groupings during our time together just like we do with our other minis.
Where in Northern VA are these Christmas minis held?
Our Christmas mini sessions are held in various locations within Northern Virginia. All of our studio sessions will be done at the TBP Studio in Gainesville, VA; while the outdoor Christmas minis will be done at various locations that are chosen based on the TBP’s signature photography style. In the past, we have done them in Haymarket and Manassas.
How long are these minis?
These Christmas minis are only 15-minute long which is perfect for our little clients since they normally have shorter attention span. Your photoshoot will be over before they know it.
Depending on the number of kids that a family has, I might recommend booking 2 spots to ensure that we have enough time to do individual kids photos. That way, no one feels rushed.
Will 15 minutes be enough?
I have been working with families with kids of all ages for years and I am skilled in working efficiently with families. I have included a sample gallery below so you can see what your gallery could look like.
Which photographers from your team do the Christmas minis?
Right now, only I, Belle (the founder & head photographer) do Christmas minis. The associate photographers only do our other seasonal minis.
When do you do these minis?
Our Christmas minis are done in early October to ensure that all families have enough time to order their Christmas cards. Booking for these minis open in July to the TBP VIP List first before it opens to the public. If you want to be one of the first ones to book a spot, I recommend joining the TBP VIP List so that you’ll be notified once booking goes live.
How much do they cost?
