Hello there! Welcome to my blog! I am so excited to kick this off with a fun watermelon mini session that I did with my kids (as the models) at Ellanor C. Lawrence Park in Centreville, Virginia 2 weeks ago.
I know I’m probably biased, but aren’t they the cutest?! I just love photographing these 2. Since I’ve been a motherhood & lifestyle blogger for over 2 years at One Awesome Momma, and in some of my posts they have been my model; they got used to be in front of the camera. And most of the time, they know exactly what I need them to do.
During our watermelon mini session, we started with some poses of them sitting on the crate. With the help of bribery, they followed all the posing instructions I had given them. But the fun really started as soon as I my husband took out the watermelon for them to eat and you can absolutely see that in these pictures. As soon as he handed it to them, they started eating. They would stop for a little bit to laugh (while juice is dripping down their neck & clothes) at each other; but we mainly had to tell them to stop because the edible parts are all gone. I know this is going to be a messy session so I saved the shots of them eating watermelon towards the end.
If you’re looking for a fun idea for a mini session this summer, this watermelon session is refreshingly perfect! And I am currently offering one in this theme. You can find all the details about my mini sessions here.
NOTE: If you are looking to book a mini session, more information is available here for current and/or upcoming mini sessions. They are only offered a few times a year so if I am not currently scheduling, please make sure to follow me on either Facebook or Instagram so you’ll be the first to know as soon as I am scheduling for one.
