Baby R’s 9 Month Update | Northern Virginia Milestone Baby Photos

If you’ve been following me on Instagram, you probably already know that Baby R turned 9 months last week. I feel like a broken record whenever I say that he grows up too fast. But I really mean every word. I mean, can you blame me? He’s our last baby so I want him to stay a baby forever.
On Baby R’s 6 month update, I shared what we are grateful for. And while we’re still incredibly grateful to have him as part of our family, here are the highlights of the last 3 months with Baby R:
- He learned how to army crawl because of our iPad. He was reaching for it and wanted to play with it so he pushed himself to get it; and he succeeded. I feel like as soon as he started crawling, he just learned how to do other things right away.
- He can now sit independently.
- He has been pulling himself up on mostly everything.
- On the day he turned 9 months, he learned how to feed himself and mastered it right on that day.
- He loves our cellphone and iPad. If we want him motivated to crawl, we use either and without fail, he will crawl as fast as he can.
- He loves to eat. He loved mostly everything we have given him. At this point, he has eaten everything we’ve been eating.
- So far, he didn’t like avocados and Spaghetti.
- Our breastfeeding journey has been rocky. Recently, my very little milk supply dropped to the point that there’s not any barely left. I wasn’t sure if it was because of the huge drop in my calorie consumption or because he hasn’t been nursing properly (because he wants to play with his older siblings); or maybe both. So for over a week, I’ve been pumping as frequent as I can to get my milk back and so far my supply has been recovering.
- He’s still a very happy baby who doesn’t like to be held anymore because he likes to explore in our home as much as possible.
