FESTIVE HOLIDAY MINI SESSIONS IN CHANTILLY, VIRGINIA BY A NORTHERN VIRGINIA FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHER

Christmas is surely my favorite holiday. Growing up in the Philippines, where our Christmas decorations are up & Christmas songs are played as soon as the first day of September hits, I always look forward to this special time of year. The family traditions, the chilly weather, the festive decorations & music, shopping gifts for your loved ones, the fun holiday activities… there’s something about Christmas that just makes me so much happier! So I knew I had to do a Christmas mini session as early as April this year.

I waited until it was colder to do the promo shoot for the holiday mini session because we’ll all be wearing sweaters and I didn’t want the kids to be sweating. So we did it one October morning but it was 40s, so we were all freezing. I had a lot of poses planned but because it was too cold for the kids, I had to cut it short. Fortunately, I was able to take some adorable shots of the entire family and of just the kids.
