Have you ever heard the saying “It takes a village to raise a child.”? It sounds like a cliché, I know, but it really is true! As a mom of 2 kids, I’ve experienced it firsthand; and I was reminded of that again when I covered this adorable ice cream parlor themed first birthday for K. There were at least 8 people in the party room trying to put everything together, and making sure everything looked perfect for K’s birthday party. From making ice cream shaped sandwiches to filling the balloons with air, K’s families on both sides of her parents did an amazing job setting everything up!
How adorable are all the details for this ice cream themed party done at Fairlington Community Center in Arlington, Virginia?! From the ice cream themed cake & cupcakes (which was made by K’s aunt) down to the pastel colored utensils neatly placed in their beautifully decorated mason jars, C, the mom, really did an awesome job planning and organizing everything for her daughter’s ice cream parlor themed party.
The kids enjoyed a lot of fun time in the soft play room while waiting for everything to get setup. Shortly after the party started, the kids had a blast during the music time where they sang & danced to the widely-known song Baby Shark, among other things. And then towards the end of the party, all the guests heartfeltly sang Happy Birthday for their dear K; which was followed by a fun cake smash!
C – Thank you for trusting me to cover K’s first birthday party! It was truly an honor capturing this special milestone in your lives. K is very lucky to have parents like you and your husband, and to be loved and adored by your families and friends. I wish that K will continue to make you feel proud as she grows up & that your family will have life filled with love, laughter, & A LOT of wonderful memories!
‘Til next time,
