Lawyer Branding Photos in Haymarket, Virginia

Too often, when you think of a lawyer, someone serious who prefers a classic wardrobe would come to mind. But a few months ago, on a gloomy afternoon, I had the honor of working with a lawyer who added an extraordinary splash of color during her branding photos in Haymarket, Virginia.

Sharie is a family lawyer at Virginia Family Law Center. However, she is not your everyday lawyer. Yes, she navigates the intricate dance of family law with the grace and precision it demands, helping in all areas in family law, including divorce, child custody and visitation, child support, spousal support, equitable distribution, and simple adoption cases. But what sets her apart is her vivacity inside and outside the courtroom. Our mission for her branding pictures was to capture this blend of professionalism and spirited energy, and what better way to do this than incorporating her brand color – purple.

The outfits & props in various shades of purple that Sharie used for her branding photoshoot brought each scene to life. In between all the laughter we shared during her session, we made sure to weave in elements that spoke of her inspirations and passions. Ruth Bader Ginsburg is a towering figure in Sharie’s world. So we made sure that we incorporate her in Sharie’s branding photos.

We did photos of Sharie working on the office table, preparing for a court hearing, meeting with a client, and of course, some headshots. We used different props to make the living room and office area of the studio unique to her brand. I was planning to do some outdoor photos as well, so we can include her purple rolling cart that she use for court hearings; but because of snow, we had to do it indoors. One of the things that I love about being a brand photographer is that it allows me to be creative while also being resourceful. Despite the snow outside, we made TBP’s studio work for all the photos that we needed.

Being able to do branding photos in Haymarket, Virginia for a lawyer who loves purple is such an honor. But can I also express how much fun it was? I LOVE all shades of pink and if I can only use all of them in my own branding, I would have but I can’t. So photographing someone who is embracing purple, in all its form, and has made it a part of her brand was something that truly made not just my photographer heart happy, but my actual heart too. Since our branding session a few months ago, it has truly made me happy to see her using the photos on their website and her Instagram account.
