IN HOME NEWBORN PHOTOS IN NORTHERN VIRGINIA

I had so much fun capturing these Northern Virginia Lifestyle Newborn Photos in Fall. The weather forecast was calling for rain so we were worried the it would be dark. However, it didn’t rain until later in the day so we got incredibly lucky! The baby, R, was so good for their session. He slept almost the entire time! R only started to wake up near the very end of the session. Truly one of the most cooperative newborns I’ve ever photographed!

I really enjoyed being able to reunite with this family after bringing baby R into the world. I had the honor of capturing their maternity session back in July at Airlie. We shot this lifestyle newborn session in-home. We spent the majority of the time in their beautiful nursery! J, the dad, updated the nursery with some paint and J, the mom, found the cutest decals on Etsy to match the adorable woodland theme. Baby R wore his fox pajamas for the session, which went perfectly with the woodland nursery! He was so cute!

The family dog, O, didn’t know what to make of me at first. He barked at me until he sniffed me out and decided I could stay! I made a friend it seemed, because he was my shadow for the rest of the session. While shooting, he even nudged my arm to let me know that he needed some hugs and attention! He was adorable.

I loved watching J, the mom, overflow with joy during their session. You could tell she was really soaking in the wonder of new motherhood. She would giggle with excitement while watching baby R. These are the kind of moments that make me love what I do!

J & J – Thank you so much for allowing me to capture your journey of parenthood from pregnancy to bringing home your precious boy. Your lifestyle newborn photos this fall in Northern Virginia aren’t ones I will forget anytime soon! Good luck with everything! But from what I saw last weekend, you both have got this! I wish both of you tons of rest and sleep in the future! 🙂
