Reston, Virginia At Home Newborn Photos

IN HOME NEWBORN PICTURES IN RESTON, VA

It was so wonderful to meet this family who, coincidentally, are relatives of previous clients of mine! C, the dad, is the brother of a past client who did her maternity session with me as well as newborn session for her 2 kids. I love when I get to photograph multiple clients from the same family! When we captured these Reston, Virginia at home newborn photos, Baby Q was three weeks old. This session was so relaxed and fun! When photographing newborn pictures it’s so important to let the mama and baby lead the pace of the session. We made sure that sweet Baby Q had all of the breaks that he needed.

I connected instantly with this family and we chatted about life before and beyond the pandemic. So much has changed for all of us so quickly! I also found out that we used to live in the same area. It’s a smaller world than we realize! We also talked about life and parenthood. I have such a close connection with families because I have a family of my own. It is so fun to learn about how new parents and different families tackle life together.

Mom and dad did a phenomenal job decorating Baby Q’s nursery. It was so adorable for capturing their in home newborn session. The nursery has the cutest fox and forest theme. The accent pieces went so perfectly with the theme. I really adored the fox lamp and cute basket! The mom, C, has the same love for Etsy as I do. She found the cutest decals to put on Baby Q’s wall. I personally love putting cute decals from Etsy in my children’s closets and I always think it’s a great touch!

I am obsessed with the rocking chair in his nursery that they discovered at a renaissance fair. It is such a unique piece and is so beautiful. Mom and dad both say that it’s so comfortable that you can just melt into it! I love when the pieces incorporated into a space have a story behind them. It makes photographing them for in home newborn pictures even more special!

Both C and Baby Q’s outfits came from the TBP Client Closet. C looked beautiful in the light blue maxi dress. It was the perfect choice for this session! Baby Q was absolutely precious in the striped newborn outfit and matching cap. When clients pull pieces from my client closet, it always elevates the session. Outfit choices are so important and really impact the overall look of the images.
