About Roer’s Zoofari – A Northern Virginia Zoo

Roer’s Zoofari aims to connect families with wildlife through animal interactions, safari rides, and the area’s largest petting zoo. This zoo used to be named Reston Zoo, but new owners have renovated the place and given it a fresh new take. Your kids can connect with nature through animal interactions and safari rides here.

This 30-acre zoo offers a variety of fun, including activities, safari tours, camel rides, walking tours, an aviary, reptile house, and butterfly garden.

What to Expect

For daily admission, you can purchase tickets at $15 per kid ages three and up and $20 per adult ticket. For unique experiences, you can expect to pay an additional $5 per experience. You can choose from zoofari safaris, the butterfly garden, parakeet feeding, tortoise experience, and barnyard feedings. In addition, you can save big on visiting the zoo with admission packages. Choose three experiences for $27 per kid and $35 per adult, or you can choose five experiences for $37 per kid and $45 per adult.

If something a little slower and relaxing is more your style, you should definitely check out goat yoga. Join the Roer’s Zoofari team for a healthy, relaxing morning yoga session with new baby goats. Season pass members can join at $30 per person and must provide the promo code to receive the discount.

If you want an experience that is more private and geared toward your family’s pace, you should check out the private zoo experience. Avoid crowds and long lines while experiencing your very own private zoo tour. You can encounter animals along the safari, in the aviary, and throughout the zoo with a tour guide for two hours. This park will engulf you in a fun and enriching environment where you’ll be able to learn about 56 different animal species.

Birthday Parties

You can purchase a birthday package if you’re looking to celebrate your kid’s birthday. These packages start with a minimum of ten people and must be booked online to reserve your date and time. The birthday package includes a private guided safari tram tour with VIP access, wristbands for party guests, animal feed, a private picnic pavilion, a walking experience tour, and party necessities (napkins, plates, cups, cutlery, and tablecloths).
