Reston, Virginia Maternity Pictures in Summer

Being a photographer gives me a chance to interact and share some great moments with beautiful people. This family, K – the mom & P – the dad, is no exception. We initially planned their maternity pictures in Reston, Virginia for early August, but due to the weather’s unpredictability, we had to reschedule twice. With K’s due date just around the corner, we decided to push through rain or shine. Armed with clear umbrellas and protective gear, we ventured out; but lucky for us, the day turned out to be a bright and sunny day!

Even though the temperature soared to the 90s, everything was worth it because we were able to capture beautiful moments for their maternity photos. We normally use this location in spring when there’s a lot of flowers just like when I did this botanical garden maternity photos. Since it’s almost the end of summer, there’s not much flowers left. But I’m very fortunate to find spots that still have some flowers and I’m glad that we were able to make it work.

K arrived in her lovely sequined dress and later changed to a lace dress from the TBP Client Closet. K & P were such a trooper for walking around in the middle of the summer heat, especially K. They truly rocked their maternity session!

I’m thrilled to share that our journey together is far from over – we’ll be reuniting in a few weeks to do their newborn photos once their precious baby arrives.

K and P, thank you for trusting me in capturing your family’s journey. These maternity pictures in Reston, Virginia turned out so good even with very little flowers at the garden. I’m excited to see you both soon to do your newborn photo session.
