These Haymarket, Virginia spring mini sessions were taken in the same place I captured Christmas minis last fall. It was so great seeing so many clients in one day. The mini sessions were a mix of previous clients and new faces! One client’s oldest daughter (who is only nine years old) was already as tall as me! I know by the next time I see them, she’ll be even taller. I love watching families grow behind my lens.

Capturing this living room newborn photography session in Fairfax County, Virginia was so much fun! The weather was very cloudy during these living room newborn photos. But even without the sun, we still managed to get newborn pictures with beautiful lighting! I was so happy with how they turned out. The mom, M, the dad, R, and the big brother, E, were all so excited to welcome baby brother, A, to the family. They were such a sweet family.

These maternity pictures with tons of flowers were taken at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens in Vienna, Virginia. I’ve done two other maternity sessions here at this location before. Back in March, only the cherry blossoms were blooming when I shot the last maternity session here. Now that it’s April, it seems like everything is finally in bloom! It was absolutely beautiful and there were so many spots I could use for these maternity photos.

This maternity session took place in Chantilly, Virginia. I’ve taken some fall mini sessions here as well as a family session so I knew this location would be beautiful for spring maternity pictures. I was hoping that the grass would be as tall as it was in the fall but when I got here, it had unfortunately been mowed. But the location was still beautiful!

K, the senior, was such a trooper during her Claude Moore Park Senior Pictures in Sterling, Virginia. The weather was extremely windy and chilly. I am so glad we decided to wait until April to schedule this session because we were originally thinking of taking them in March. They had just arrived back from their spring break the day before the session, perfect timing!

These Vienna, Virginia spring maternity photos did not feel like spring as we were shooting this session. However, they still captured the beauty of the new season and this family’s new season of life. This is M, the mom, and D, the dad’s, very first baby! M and D are such an incredibly sweet couple. They are both so nice and friendly! Truly a perfect match for one another.
