At Home Newborn Photography in Oakton, Virginia
There’s a certain magic that unfolds when a family invites you back into their lives to capture the most cherished moments of their journey. As a photographer, there’s no greater honor than being entrusted with the task of preserving these precious family memories. I recently had the privilege of doing an at home newborn photography in Oakton, VA for this beautiful family of 4, whom I had the pleasure of photographing back in fall during the Fairfax County, Virginia fall minis.
D, the mom, Ch, the dad, C, the big brother, and O, the baby, enjoyed some sweet moment together as a family at the master bedroom where we started their at home newborn session; and then, they were joined by the grandparents who were visiting from New York, V and F, their dogs, and G, their au pair, when we moved to the nursery. It was so beautiful to witness so much closeness and love between family members like I did that day.
I love it when families choose to incorporate things that have special meaning to them during their photoshoot. D wanted to incorporate a crucifix necklace that her grandparents have given her years ago, which she also used when they did C’s newborn photos before they moved here in Virginia. It was such a beautiful and delicate necklace and I’m sure C and O would love their newborn photos with D’s crucifix necklace once they find out what it means to her.
D – Thank you so much for trusting me to document one of your family’s biggest milestones. Being surrounded by people with so much love for each other during your at home newborn photography in Oakton, VA is such a heartwarming experience and it reminds me of why I love what I do so much. Baby O and C are very lucky to have you and Ch as their parents. I cannot wait to see all the adventures you’d get to enjoy as a family.
