White, Purple, & Green Themed Studio Cake Smash Pictures in Bristow, Virginia
Three years ago, after the peak of COVID, I met S, the mom, for the first time. I went to their lovely home to document E, the big sister, turning 1. Earlier this year, S reached out to schedule a studio cake smash photography in Bristow, VA for Z.
S wanted to use the same elements that she used for E’s peach, white, & gold cake smash photos but wanted to make it slightly different. S and I talked about different colors and elements and we decided to do purple, green, and white theme. The props that we decided to use were sheer curtains, flowers, and twinkle lights.
A week before Z’s cake smash session, S dropped off the props so that I can setup the studio before they arrive on their photoshoot day. I used the flower garland to frame the sides of the sheer purple curtain and used some of the flowers from the garland to scatter on the floor. I then added the twinkle lights underneath the sheer curtain. I really love how the twinkle lights added a little bit of whimsical feel to the photos.
Z had her 1 year birthday party the day before her cake smash photos so she was able to practice eating the cake by herself. She didn’t waste any second during the photoshoot. As soon as mom put the cake in front of her, she went on and ate her cake. Z played with & ate the cake for a while, then played with the flowers scattered on the floor, decided she wants to eat the cake stand as well, before she decided that she’s done with it. She really rocked her photoshoot.

It has always been an honor of mine documenting every season in your lives. From Santa photos to the girl’s biggest milestones yet. Z is so adorable and I can definitely see some of E in her. I am looking forward to seeing Z and E grow as little ladies.
