ADORABLE CAKE SMASH SESSION IN NORTHERN VA BY A CAKE SMASH PHOTOGRAPHER IN WASHINGTON, DC

At the end of this month, Baby V will turn 1. So last weekend, we did his Mr. ONEderful cake smash session at their home in Northern Virginia. L & A, his parents, have prepared a very adorable setup for his cake smash photo session with color-coordinated balloons and matching Mr. ONEderful banner, cake topper, and onesie outfit. And I love how the setup is themed but still simple so as not to take away the focus from the star of the session, Baby V.

Baby V did amazing on his cake smash session. At first during his portrait session, he didn’t want to play with the balloons (he was probably still wondering what was going on) but after he smashed his cake and enjoyed it, his mood immediately changed and he became really playful. He surely loved his cake! I mean, can you blame him? If you put a whole cake in front of me and just let me eat it however I want, I’d probably be like him too! Who’s with me?

I love capturing cake smash sessions because it marks the end of your baby’s first year of life. The first 12 months of amazing and fast growth of your baby & your family as well. Of course, it’s not all rainbows & butterflies; there were surely challenges along the way, but I’m sure it was all well worth it! Plus, it is such a very special milestone, especially for first time parents, because that means they made it through the first year! And what better way to celebrate this amazing milestone than to let your baby be crazy messy with his or her cake while looking so adorable doing it, right?
